Driver check-in, without the shack phone.

Drivers scan a QR code and check in from their cab. Dispatch sees every arrival on a live queue and texts the drivers who opt in the moment a load is ready. No app, no accounts, English or Spanish.

QR check-in, no app

A poster at the yard opens a mobile form. Drivers check in in under a minute — nothing to install.

Live dispatch queue

Every check-in lands on dispatch’s screen instantly — no phone, no re-keying, no missed arrivals.

Opt-in SMS alerts

Dispatch taps “Load ready” and drivers who asked to be texted get one. No more waiting by the phone.

English & Spanish

The whole driver flow — form, confirmation, and texts — works in both languages, chosen with one tap.

How it works

From the cab to the dock in three steps.

  1. 1Scan the QR poster

Posters at parking and the shack open the check-in form — no app, no account.

  2. 2Check in from the cab

Name and load number — a mobile number only if they want a text. The arrival shows on dispatch’s live queue at once.

  3. 3Head to the dock

Dispatch marks the load ready. Drivers who opted in get a text; the rest get a call or a knock on the cab.

Text message program

Ringdown — the service Phineworks Inc. operates under the Ringdown name — sends transactional SMS about a single yard visit: a check-in confirmation and a “load ready” notification, about 1–2 messages per visit. We never send marketing texts. Message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

Texts are optional and always have been opt-in. The check-in form carries a separate checkbox, unticked by default, labelled “Text me when my load is ready”, and the mobile number field is optional. A driver who leaves the box unticked is checked in exactly the same and is never messaged — dispatch calls them or walks out to the truck instead. Agreeing to texts is never a condition of checking in or of being loaded.

Ready to replace the shack phone?

Ringdown is running a pilot at a Salinas produce yard, alongside the shack phone rather than instead of it.
